Hydraulic truck cranes are different from other crane types due to the way they particularly operate. Hydraulic cranes use oil instead as opposed to utilizing a winch in order to wind up cables to provide the lifting force. Since oil is a fluid which retains its volume, it is incompressible. Boom Elevation: The crane's boom ascends using double hydraulic cylinders which allow for raising and lowering materials.
