Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic lift trucks provide versatility and height. These units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm that extends over the top of the truck. The crane, or arm, is called a telescopic boom. The boom allows the operator to maintain a high degree of control while raising the load to great heights. Standard forklifts can not move the load away from and towards the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is usually utilized in construction and agriculture. It is better for applications where greater lift and control is needed.
In situations needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments referred to as forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that enable the operator to apply uniform clamping force when lifting a load. It is available with a backrest that protects the loads from damage.
A slip sheet attachment fits onto a slip sheet forklift. It is utilized for storing systems that don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forks on the forklift. This type of system is handy for intra-corporate deliveries and for overseas shipments.
A lift platform that is meant to hoist workers is known as a Man Basket. It attaches to the forklift forks and a chain or strap is used to attach the basket to the lift truck carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the worker's safety harness.
