Lull Telehandlers
Ever since 1959, Lull has been making telehandlers. Their machines have been made for load placement with their patented Stabil-Trak stability system. This system provides a lot more accurate placement capabilities. Lull telehandlers offer various optional attachments and these telehandlers are available to help you complete all your needs, while being safe and efficient at the worksite. If accuracy and precision are really vital, leave it to a Lull telehandler to accomplish everything you need.
The Future
In order to make rough terrain lift trucks as functional as possible, numerous attachments have been designed and made such as booms, winches, and rotating fork carriages, to enable the forklift to place materials more accurately. The articulating booms or booms come with 2 different extendible arms and could reach up and over structures in order to position loads in the center of upper floors or on interior roof slope settings. New products and attachments are being made and designed all the time and would be available in the future.
With extra safety features becoming more prevalent, some improvements have been made. For instance, load-reach management devices can automatically restrict the forklift's reach, based on the load being handled as opposed to relying on the operator. Pressure sensors are used to be able to know the weight of the load. This information is sent to a tiny electronic memory device which had all the load-reach limitations pre-programmed into it.
The memory of the boom would compare the angle and the extension of the boom with the safety limits, when the load is being placed into position. There is a warning system or an important lock-up device which prevents the operator from over-reaching and possibly causing the boom to fail or the forklift to tip over.
