Narrow Aisle Forklift
Used to both lower and lift loaded pallets from storage areas that are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This particular type is suitable for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, such as retail establishments or warehouses. The forklift has small, solid rubber tires that make maneuvering simple.
The operator of this type of forklift usually stands up in a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as short and narrow as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift usually has three tires: one in the rear, and two in the front. This configuration enables for fast and easy maneuvering. There are several models of these forklifts that come with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment could pivot to the sides, permitting the lift to be operated without the operator having to reposition the entire machine. The sit-down model normally has four wheels.
Numerous narrow aisle forklifts are powered with an electric engine. Machines which are electrically powered are not noisy and do not produce exhaust fumes, making them the suitable option for closed areas such as retail spaces. Some lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. Then again, the diesel version is not suggested for indoor application since it can produce exhaust and be noisy.
