Inventor Jerome Case founded the company of CASE within Racine, when he began the building of threshing equipment. Later the business gained recognition globally as the first builder of steam engines for its agricultural application. Case grew their construction equipment business through different acquisitions, starting with the American Tractor Corporation in 1957. During the year 1999, Case merged with New Holland to become CNH Global. This corporation became responsible for advertising some of the top brands of construction and agricultural machines in the world.
