Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:

The audible devices like motion alarms or back-up alarms generate sound which has to be very loud to be heard above the noise which the forklift creates in the operating area.



The sound needs to be readily discernible from other audible devices or sounds within the work environment. Sound should be readily distinguishable from other sound or audible devices in the work area. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; hence, care should be taken.



Hearing protection makes it trickier to hear the audible device and to determine which direction and distance it is coming from. Audible devices could occasionally get disabled from both workers and operators because they could find them very irritating. Additionally, audible devices could also be objectionable to residents in the vicinity.



Additional Operator & Application Options:

Enclosed Operator Cabs: To be able protect the operator from the elements, enclosed operator cabs made of tempered glass are used to help avoid injuries and reduce other problems. Moreover, these cabs feature an emergency exit through removing the window. The levels of noise are reduced at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.



Operator Selectable Performance Modes: The operator can choose the performance need for the specific application. Moreover, it enables a supervisor to set the utmost performance of a unit for an operator who is just beginning to learn. Being able to reduce and adjust the model's utmost performance allows a new operator to learn the machine's operating characteristics in a controlled environment.



Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is required to activate and override the model. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machine in a more controlled manner.



Panoramic and Dual Rear View Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the operating environment behind the truck as well as the tail swing area.
